MACON, GA, May 2, 2013 -– The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame - along with partners NewTown Macon and the Cherry Blossom Festival - is gearing up for the third annual Halluva Auction.  This community-loved event includes a live and silent auction as well as a reverse raffle to win $10,000.  Among the items up for bid are vacation packages, sporting event tickets, home furnishings, fine art, jewelry, and many one of a kind experiences.

Raffle tickets for the $10,000 prize went on sale April 1, and between now and June 7th one lucky person is going to purchase the winning ticket.  Tickets are $100 each, and only 400 will be sold.  Raffle numbers will be drawn from a hopper at the start of the event, and the last number drawn wins the grand prize of $10,000.  The winner of the raffle does not have to be present to win.

Last year’s raffle winner, Dean Rowland, says “It was a very enjoyable time.  The auction was a class act, and to top it off we won the reverse raffle which was the icing on the cake! ”

A Halluva Auction takes place on Friday, June 7th at 6:30 pm at the Historic Terminal Station.  Admission is $25 per person or free with your raffle ticket.  Raffle tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Hall of Fame at 478.752.1585.
