Andrew Dunnett appointed as Director of Vodafone Group Foundation

26 July 2006 - Vodafone today announces the appointment of Andrew Dunnett as Director of the Vodafone Group Foundation with effect from 1 September 2006.

Andrew Dunnett is currently an adviser to the Sustainable Development unit at the Department of Trade and Industry with specific responsibility for the CSR Academy, the lead initiative of the DTI’s CSR programme. Andrew brings fifteen years experience in corporate responsibility, community investment and public affairs, including advising organisations such as BTEC, the BBC and the Commission for Racial Equality as a consultant. He also led a corporate community investment project in the City of London whilst Director of the St Ethelburga’s Foundation.

Lord Broers, Chairman of the Vodafone Group Foundation commented, “We are delighted that Andrew is joining Vodafone as he brings with him valuable knowledge of social investment and experience across the corporate, statutory and voluntary sectors. He has a track record in collaborative working and is the right person to lead the next stage of the Foundation’s development.”

I look forward to building on the successful work achieved since its creation in 2001, and working with the Trustees and the family of Vodafone Foundations worldwide.”
