Lufthansa Group Again Included in Renowned FTSE4Good Sustainability Index

Corporate social responsibility is firmly anchored in the strategic guidelines of the Lufthansa Group. This commitment by the company to conduct its business activities in an ethical socially responsible and environmentally sustainable manner has now been recognised. Once again, the Group has been included in the internationally acclaimed corporate sustainability index, the FTSE 4Good. The index was launched in 2001 by FTSE, now a wholly owned subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange Group. The index includes only those companies which meet internationally recognised standards in environmental management, climate change, supply chain labour standards, human & labour rights, corporate governance and countering bribery.

For some time now, rating agencies, analysts and institutional investors have been focusing more closely on sustainable business management. Lufthansa is listed in three other renowned indices besides the FTSE 4 GOOD that specialise in sustainability: the Ethibel Sustainability Index, ECPI Euro Ethical Equity and ECPI EMU Ethical Equity.
