Nail polish strips are a relatively new product that has only been on the market for a few years.  They are popular with all types of nail enthusiasts and especially parents of these younger enthusiasts because they do not have strong odors or fumes like traditional nail polish.  They also give users the ability to apply complex designs without the need for artistic ability or hours at a salon.

The main brands are Sally Hansen Salon Effects and Sephora trend tips by OPI which cost between $10 and $14 for a set, not bad considering the cost of manicures.  “Over the past few weeks I have been doing research on which brand of nail strips are the best.  After testing Sally Hansen and OPI which were the only two brands I could find in the retail stores in my area I was not very impressed with their selections.  They both seemed to have the same basic type of prints.  The tips of them chipped after several days but still looked decent after a week which I was happy about,” says independent reviewer Stephanie Burdock.

“I wasn’t overly impressed with nail strips at this point although I can say that they did have their benefits, however I made discovery that would change this opinion.  While doing research on these companies I came across a new brand of nail polish strips called OMG Nail Strips.  They were directly under Sally Hansen on my Google search query so I figured I should give them a try and I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised,” states Burdock. “Costing $4.29 a set which includes free international shipping I was a bit skeptical on how well they would work.  I have to say it may have been my best discovery all year.  They are simply amazing.  They were much easier to apply than the Salon Effects and lasted just as long if not longer.  I was also impressed with their large selection of designs which I was told are continually growing, a sales rep told me they should have over 100 designs by August and will be in major retail stores soon so keep an eye out for them.”

Overall it is hard to say who makes the best nail polish strips.  Burdock concludes: “I like the availability of Sally Hansen and Sephora nail strips because I can just pick them up at the local drug store. However when it comes to value and selection my pick would have to be OMG Nail Strips.  I have reordered from them 3-4 times and I honestly can’t wait till the day can pick them up at the local pharmacy.”
