Sales Specialists Enhance Materion Customer Experience
Materion Advanced Materials Group, a part of Materion Corporation, is pleased to announce the addition of two Specialists to its Regional Sales Department that will significantly enhance service capability.
Buffalo, New York - Materion Advanced Materials Group, a part of Materion Corporation, is pleased to announce the addition of two Specialists to its Regional Sales Department that will significantly enhance service capability to smaller but critical accounts. These customers collectively represent an important part of Materion’s business, and the new Specialists will focus primarily on their needs.
As a result of feedback from a Net Promoter survey last year, Materion took a number of steps to ensure that all size customers would be pleased with their level of service. One of these actions was the recent hiring of experienced and knowledgeable sales professionals, Lorraine Saldanha in Newburyport, MA and Christopher Helwig in Milwaukee, WI, to fill Specialists positions. One of their key tasks will be to spend more direct time with smaller accounts in order to create one-on-one relationships for their mutual benefit and reaching out to former users. Other responsibilities include:
- Educate customers on unique and broad array of products & services
- Immediate follow-up on every Quote
- Same day response to all leads
- Improve turn-around time
- Assist with new product development
- Guidance in selecting optimal materials for specific applications
Bob Dixon, Materion’s Regional Director of Sales, commented: “These actions are a natural progression of Materion’s plan to change the mindset of customers who feel their size may have limited the attention they receive. By having our Specialists dedicated to these accounts, we demonstrate that their business needs are important to us.” Also under consideration is the potential for smaller accounts to expand, leading to additional growth for both businesses.
Other plans to increase sales call for a series of new campaigns that will focus specifically on customer needs. These may range from targeting unique industries or geographical areas, to highlighting certain products/services, to other creative campaigns. In addition to such promotions, the new Specialists will closely monitor the outcome of Materion sales leads. Examining the reasons for the success or failure of a sale is expected to provide valuable information useful for quote success rates. Materion is committed to becoming our customers’ First Choice.
