Coming Soon: Transformers 3D Ride Hits Universal Studios, Orlando

WEBWIRE

Orlando, Florida – Already open on the West Coast in California, the Transformers 3D Ride will be making its debut at the Orlando Universal Studios this summer.

There have been rumors of the project since summer 2012, when construction began on Universal’s Soundstage 44.  While it was originally rumored that the construction was merely being done to bring this area of the park up to code for Halloween Horror Nights, an official statement was released on November 1 confirming the Transformers 3D Ride.  This statement came in the form of a video transmission from Autobot leader Optimus Prime himself, asking humans to prepare for battle in the summer of 2013.

The groundbreaking 3D ride will feature a storyline of the intergalactic battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons with life-like HD CGI media, state-of-the-art 3D technology and other special effects.  The creators of the ride worked closely with award-winning director Michael Bay, who has directed the Transformers film series, in order to help make the ride an experience unlike anything anyone has gone on before.

The exterior of the ride is almost complete, disguised as an N.E.S.T. (the international special operations and intelligence group that works with the Autobots in the movie series) warehouse.  While the exterior is almost complete and the Transformers gift store is open, there is not yet an official open date for the ride.
