R-Squared Engages LeanForward to Develop Online Training on the Sunshine Act
R-Squared Services & Solutions, Inc. On February 1, 2013, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the release of the final rule implementing a section of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that is commonly referred to as “The Physician Payments Sunshine Law” or the “Sunshine Act.” In furtherance of industry transparency, the Sunshine Act imposes considerable new obligations on, and affects virtually all employees and agents of, life sciences manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors.
