Bulgarian Holiday Food Poisoning, Filthy Rooms and Kids See Porn Movie Film Shoot

Manchester, UK – July 20, 2006

British tourists are reporting food poisoning, questionable hygiene standards, filthy rooms, rude staff and that a porn movie was filmed in full view of guests and children at a “Family” Hotel in Elenite, Bulgaria.

Some of the holidaymakers contacted personal injury solicitor Andrew Morton, who is head of the Travel Litigation Department at Manchester law firm Pannone LLP.

Andrew Morton announced “We’re receiving requests to claim compensation from people who stayed at two hotels, the Royal Bay Hotel and the Royal Park in Elenite, Bulgaria. The complaints include food poisoning, questionable hygiene standards, filthy rooms, rude staff and ruined holidays.

“Both the Royal Bay and the Royal Park Hotel were in the news last year for similar food poisoning and poor hygiene standards, and it appears that those lessons have not been learnt. We successfully handled over thirty compensation claims for British tourists who stayed at the same hotels last year.

“Anyone who has been to these hotels and suffered illness or had to endure second rate facilities and service should contact a solicitor immediately. Any photographic or video evidence is especially useful to support claims for compensation.”

A totally unexpected and unwelcome addition to a “catalogue of holiday disasters” at the hotels was reported after children saw a porn movie being filmed on a balcony at the Royal Park Hotel.

The Crawford family from Londonderry, Northern Ireland said the film shoot featuring nude models simulating sex took place in full view of the hotel guests. Mr Crawford said, “This holiday was sold to me on the basis that it was a ‘family’ holiday.”
