DHL Express Receives Global ISO 9001:2008 Certification

The certification confirms that DHL has met the requirements of the ISO standard for its Quality Management System across its worldwide operations. Individual certification has been achieved in over 100 countries across the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. The company’s management headquarters in all three regions, as well as its operational infrastructure have been independently audited against the standards of ISO 9001:2008.

In order to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification, companies must demonstrate that they have implemented effective quality management systems across all areas of the business, including facilities, people, training, services and equipment. DHL’s certification process was carried out in partnership with DNV Business Assurance and included detailed assessment of the company’s facilities. Interviews were carried out with management and employees, and procedures were reviewed across all functional areas, including operations, training and development, customer complaint handling, finance and billing.
