(SAN MATEO, CA) San Mateo County Event Center in November started utilizing its upgraded Internet infrastructure to attract new high tech events to the county. Already the Event Center has brought in a new Business Communication Solutions and Technology conference in which the event successfully streamed world-wide for 10 consecutive hours.

With over $200,000 in upgrades the San Mateo County Event Center’s expansive Internet infrastructure provides meeting planners and event producers with state of the art wireless capabilities. The Internet upgrades will enhance the user experience and appeal to more high-tech companies and event planners.  The Event Center is already known in the industry for delivering quality equipment and services that are also affordable.  

The San Mateo County Event Center offers sophisticated and technologically advanced secure wireless networks throughout the campus. The upgrades include: Café Internet, direct logon to the Event Center’s Wireless portal, secured SSID bundle offerings for various security needs of the event or exhibitor, IT remote support and category 6 cables. Standard 10/100 mbps switched Ethernet based connections with RJ-45 connectors are also provided at requested locations.  The Event Center has deployed over 50 access points that logically connect to a centralized IP network.

This plug-and-play deployment model allows wireless connectivity on-demand. If network connectivity is needed quickly, Event Center IT staff merely plug into any available Ethernet port. The IP is then automatically configured through the Event Center’s network protocols.
