Datavail’s CEO to speak at TechForum’s Big Data, Mobile & Cloud Roundtable in New York

Mark Perlstein will present his vision for how to most effectively manage enterprise data

Broomfield, Colo. — Feb. 7, 2013 — Today, Datavail’s president & CEO, Mark Perlstein is speaking at TechForum’s Big Data, Mobile & Cloud: The New Enterprise Infrastructure Roundtable. The event is being held at The Harmonie Club in Manhattan. Attendees are TechForum members and guests of which the majority are in the Fortune 1000. Attendees must be pre-qualified in order to attend.

As one of the largest providers of remote database administration (DBA) services in North America, Datavail’s leader will offer his unique perspective on how to best manage enterprise data. Perlstein will present, “Data Takes Center Stage: A New Approach to Managing Enterprise Data.” Perlstein proposes that data management be removed from the infrastructure and application silos and moved to a more prominent leadership position within organizations’ IT environments. During his presentation, Perlstein will explain current data management issues and how to most effectively address these issues.

About the Speaker
Mark Perlstein is president & CEO of Datavail, a national leader in database support and professional services. For more than two decades, Perlstein has been a leader in the IT services market and brings a wealth of growth-oriented and operating experience in the services business to Datavail. Prior to his CEO role at Datavail, Perlstein was president of CIBER’s IT Outsourcing division. While there, he led CIBER’s entry into the IT infrastructure outsourcing market and helped lead that division to a tripling of its revenues and becoming a major force in the ITO sector. He also served as chief operating officer of AlphaNet Solutions, a regional IT services provider traded on NASDAQ and located in the NYC/NJ area. Perlstein helped lead the way for CIBER’ss acquisition of AlphaNet in 2003.

Earlier in his career, Perlstein held various positions in the IT services sector, including serving as president of Aztec Technology Partners’ $175 million New England-based business unit. His background also includes starting up, and then selling a consulting and services firm that focused on the implementation and support of accounting and financial systems – a business he sold in 1995. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany where he received a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in business administration. Perlstein also attended Hofstra University’s MBA program from 1988 to 1990. He is an active leader in the IT community and is committed to excellence in service delivery, customer satisfaction and team building inside Datavail.
