Change Control Software Completes Newmerix’s Suite of Enterprise Application Lifecycle Management and Compliance Software

Superior, CO - July 18, 2006 – Newmerix Corp., a provider of lifecycle and compliance management software for enterprise applications, today announced the release of a new change control product, Automate!Change for PeopleSoft. Automate!Change automates the change control and compliance activities within the PeopleSoft application lifecycle, including:

--Enforceable change migration workflows
--Change impact analysis
--PeopleSoft object and file migration
--Automated approvals and reporting for compliance audits
--Versioning and restore capabilities

Automate!Change is part of an integrated suite of products designed for Enterprise Application Lifecycle Management (EALM). This suite includes Automate!Test, a functional testing solution designed for PeopleSoft, and Automate!Control, a Web-based portal for enterprise change and service request management.

“Change control activities for enterprise applications are fundamentally different than in custom development, because enterprise applications are built on a metadata architecture,” said Niel Robertson, Chief Technology Officer for Newmerix. “Because of PeopleSoft’s metadata objects, known as PeopleCode, traditional source and change control tools fall short. Automate!Change for PeopleSoft, was built from the ground up to solve the specific change and compliance challenges PeopleSoft development teams face when managing metadata objects.”

Metadata is like PeopleSoft’s DNA, controlling how it appears and behaves. Other change control products are unable to read, access, migrate and version the proprietary metadata layer of PeopleSoft. Automate!Change’s innovative technology turns the obstacle of PeopleSoft metadata into an advantage. By leveraging and interacting with PeopleSoft own design tools and metadata, Automate!Change is able to simplify critical change control activities such as migration workflow, impact analysis, versioning and restoration.

Automate!Change also supports activities critical to maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Section 404 of SOX requires a rigorous change control process that includes enforceable workflow, separation of duties, approvals and auditing. PeopleSoft development teams have very few options to automate these processes and typically spend an inordinate amount of time managing them manually. Automate!Change provides a single solution to automate all of these compliance activities.

Key Features in Automate!Change include:
--Customized migration paths and workflows for compliance and risk mitigation
--Migration of both flat files and PeopleSoft objects through database environments
--Impact analysis of changes targeted for the development environment
--Object versioning to preserve, merge or overwrite customizations safely
--Detailed and accurate approval documentation and change reports for auditors
--Restore capabilities to recover from errors reaching production

Automate!Change can be combined with other products in the Automate! Suite including Automate!Control and Automate!Test to provide a complete solution for automating the PeopleSoft application lifecycle. Newmerix also provides a set of products for managing the SAP application lifecycle.
