Turn on and tune into Pulsic at DAC 2006

WEBWIRE

Bristol, England – July 18th, 2006 - Pulsic Limited, the leading software company in delivering a totally integrated and complete solution for physical design of high volume IC’s, is offering visitors at this year’s Design Automation Conference (DAC) in San Francisco an innovative way of learning what’s new about Pulsic’s products and solutions. Six kiosk-style demo booths, complete with headphones and touch screen technology, are available for visitors to drive Pulsic’s demo content according to their specific areas of interest – away from the hustle and bustle of this popular annual show. This concept is a first for visitors at DAC 2006.

Because Pulsic offers a wide range of products and solutions for differing markets, demo users are invited to browse by custom digital design, analogue design, mixed signal design or by market segment, including LCD memory, Imaging, Automotive and Smartcard. Alternatively, users can take tutorials on hierarchical floorplanning, routing, placement, DFM, ECO, timing, OpenAccess and Process Rule support. Self-paced, demo users will be able to fast forward or backtrack their way through the demo at a speed that suits them.

A special focus of the demonstrations will be the recently announced Unity™ product. Unity is unique and is a single application providing a completely integrated environment for the physical design of custom digital, mixed-signal and analogue IC’s. Unity comprises: hierarchical floorplanning, placement, routing and editing, timing and signal integrity. Unity is designed to increase productivity, minimise design area and increase yield for the most demanding high volume IC designs, for example, memory, LCD, smartcard, and imaging applications.

Kevin Steptoe, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Pulsic commented, "We believe our self-service demos will enable visitors to learn about our products and solutions in a relaxed environment. Of course, Pulsic people will also be at hand to offer assistance and advice. Together with the launch of our revolutionary new product, Unity, the Pulsic booth is set to be an exciting place to visit at DAC this year.”

The Unity demo will be available for viewing at Booth #3073 at this year’s DAC (July 24-28, 2006).
