The Barcelona Bar Association to Deploy eEvidence to Enforce Email Evidence

WEBWIRE

Barcelona, Spain (January 10th, 2013) - SerenaMail, a leading company in email certification through innovation, has announced today an agreement with the Barcelona Bar Association in order to deploy amongst the Bar’s associates the use of eEvidence for their critical email communications.

eEvidence has been designed as an affordable and easy to use, yet sophisticated, service to establish proof that the content of a particular email has been delivered to a third party at a verifiable time. Unlike other email certification services, the keys of the eEvidence accreditation are that it is performed in seconds, there’s no need to keep copies of the emails and files within the service and, most importantly, it doesn’t require the recipient to intervene or even know about it. eEvidence’s worldwide recognition comes from the seamless combination of key Internet and cryptographic standards on which its methodology is based.

In a recent review, PC Magazine’s Lead Analyst for Security, Neil J. Rubenking, stated that eEvidence “is a handy way to protect your intellectual property”, is “extremely easy to use, and very good at its one specific task”. Since the service was launched in February 2012, eEvidence has already certified more than 150,000 emails from around 4,000 users worldwide for both regular email and Business Solution’s email communications, such as ERPs and CRMs. You can access Neil’s full review on this link: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2405776,00.asp.

The company has also announced its intention to apply for a European Patent to enforce its eEvidence service for email and file certification. After obtaining a satisfactory answer from its previous PCT patent request, the company believes it is now time to make a step forward on protecting the innovative methodology on which the service is based.

SerenaMail (Barcelona, Spain), privately founded in 1997, is a pioneer in email management and security services. According to Carlos Tico, CEO, eEvidence’s mission is to “contribute to the Information Society with a simple and eminently free methodology through which an email and its contents become irrevocably admissible as evidence in a court of law.” To find more, please visit www.eevid.com.
