Subsentio To Host A CALEA Compliance For LTE Webinar
DENVER, Colorado, January 21, 2013 – Subsentio, a Trusted Third Party service bureau for Lawfully Authorized Electronic Surveillance (LAES), today announced that it is hosting a webinar titled “CALEA Compliance for LTE – A Safe Harbor Approach” on February 15, 2013.
“We’re seeing tremendous growth in the LTE market and with that there is a demand for compliance with CALEA,” said Steve Bock, President of Subsentio. “There are a lot of legal and technical landmines in the lawful intercept industry and LTE is one of them. The complexity of properly intercepting traffic and still providing law enforcement with acceptable industry standards is magnified with LTE networks. For example, in some cases we’re seeing solutions that use European standards. We view that as a right to privacy issue because those standards cannot differentiate between a Pen Register and a Title III which means that service providers could be delivering content that has not been authorized by the court.”
Presenters in the webinar will include Erik Cecil, General Counsel for Subsentio and Dr. Glen Myers, Chief Technology Officer for Subsentio. The agenda will include an up to date review of electronic surveillance law with an emphasis on location based requests for electronic surveillance and a cost effective technical analysis that uses Subsentio’s new Safe Harbor Probe™.
