ARM Wins Business Of The Year Award For Innovation And Growth

WHAT: ARM has for the first time won the CMS Cameron McKenna Business of the Year Award for the Midlands and East of England. This award is part of the National Business Awards which are designed to highlight the importance of regional businesses to the overall economy.

WHEN: Announced at the Winners Awards Dinner at the Burlington Hotel, Birmingham on July 6, 2006.

WHY: The CMS Cameron McKenna Business of the Year Award is presented to organizations that have demonstrated exceptional financial returns, strong growth and innovation strategies, plus market leadership in its sector. This regional award secures ARM a place at the National Finals, to be held on November 7 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. ARM was also a finalist for another National Business Award; the “Business Improvement Through People” award. A company is recognized for this award if it can demonstrate how its people development strategies have improved performance and created a committed, motivated and effective workforce.

The National Business Awards, described by the Chancellor of the Exchequer as the “Business Oscars”, are the first UK-based awards to recognize business excellence of both blue chip companies and new ventures. These awards are an independent programme judged by industry experts and sponsored by some of the UK’s most forward-thinking businesses such as Orange and Credit Suisse. In just over four years the programme has grown to include five regional events and a stand-alone event for Scotland, with the participating companies representing 31 percent of the UK Gross Domestic Product.
