Melty Way’s Change for Change Program Sponsors The Signing Time Foundation to Help Make Sign Language Accessible to All Children

Midvale, UT, December 19, 2012 - From now until March 2013, Melty Way’s Change for Change program in Midvale, UT will sponsor The Signing Time Foundation, a non-profit organization that makes sign language accessible to all children. Signing Time creates programs and opportunities that dissolve communication barriers that exist for children with disabilities.  Sign language is often the only way for many children with special needs to communicate.  Donations from the Melty Way Change for Change program will facilitate social and educational programs provided by the Signing Time Foundation, creating a world where all children can express themselves and be understood.
 
“At Melty Way, we believe people today are more committed than ever to making a difference in their communities and for worthwhile causes.  This is why we created the Melty Way Change for Change program to benefit various charitable organizations throughout the year”, says Melty Way Co-Founder Trevor Williams. “The program works by allowing our valued customers the opportunity to donate their change by rounding up to the next dollar of any purchase.  Our change for change program makes it easy for a little change to make a big difference.”
 
On December 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 Rachel De Azevedo Coleman and Leah Coleman, stars of the Signing Time video and television show, will be at Melty Way greeting fans and autographing Signing Time DVDs and books available for sale that day.  Please join Melty Way and the Singing Time Foundation for this fun and inspiring event.  Make sure to bring your appetite and enjoy some delicious “Grilled Cheese Gourmet” while making a difference with your generous donation.  You will leave full of goodness and gratitude.

The Signing Time Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to making sign language fun and accessible to all children. They are committed to a vision of the world in which all children can express themselves and be understood. The foundation creates programs and opportunities designed to dissolve the barriers that exist for children with disabilities, such as their baby sign language program. Rachel Coleman, the President of the Signing Time Foundation and the host of Signing Time, participates in Signing Time Outreach events across the country to teach ASL vocabulary using the interactive format of Signing Time. The outreach activities are created to educate parents, teachers, caregivers, and communities on the value of including sign language in their children’s learning.
