CyberLink Launches CREATE Video Challenge

Sharpen Your Video Editing Skills and Win Fantastic Prizes

Taipei, Taiwan - CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a provider of innovative media creation solutions, recently unveiled a new video contest entitled “CREATE Video Challenge” that will encourage PowerDirector users to hone and improve their video editing skills.

CREATE Video Challenge consists of a series of engaging and interactive video editing contests that will run for a period of nine months, from December 6, 2012 until September 5, 2013. One video editing challenge will be revealed each month. At the beginning of each campaign, CyberLink will provide a sample video with an accompanying demo that describes how it was made while encouraging participants to use the same techniques when creating their own videos.

The video samples and tutorials are made using one or more software solutions from CyberLink’s Creative Director Family, a series of content creation tools for editing videos and photos, color adjustment and sound design. The sample videos are also published on DirectorZone where users can view the final production along with a timeline. This is another option that provides users with a social forum to learn how the videos were made and hone their own skills and development.
