Daniel Corby CEO of 118 Group announces appointment of Chairman

Daniel Corby, CEO of 118 group is delighted to announce the appointment of Chairman, Richard Allan.

Richard Allan who built up the Perry Motor Company plc over a period of almost 30 years and subsequently held non executive roles with Northumbrian Water plc and Essex and Suffolk Water plc was appointed during June 2006 to offer guidance and support the growing infrastructure of the enlarged group.

118 Group is growing incredibly quickly and now operates various brands, including 118trades.com, 118telecoms - a reseller of memorable telephone numbers, 118gethitched, a wedding portal service and has just completed the acquisition of Carauto Limited.

Carauto will launch later this year and aims to revelutionise the way people buy and sell used cars in the UK today.

Commenting on the appointment of Richard Allan as Chairman, Daniel Corby, Founder and CEO of the group said “I am delighted to be working with Richard Allan. Daniel went on to add, “Richard Allan is joining the business at a very exciting stage in its growth. We are just over a year old now, and if we were a child we would be about to start School. By the end of 2007 we aim to have graduated at University.... I guess you understand what I am saying.... we have acheived so much so quickly, yet the business is still so young. And we have so much more to acheive. We are planning to grow the businesses to 1,000 people within a year from now and then float the business in 2007 / 2008. Our senior team is incredibly talented and is overseen by Commercial Director, Bradley Chapman”.
