ABIH Helps Industry and the Public Connect with CIHs in their Area
The American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) provides a search function to help people locate a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) provide important occupational health and safety services to people across the globe. Many industries rely on their knowledge to ensure that workers are not exposed to potentially harmful situations. Many CIHs also work as consultants and are able to offer their expertise not only to industry, but also directly to the public as well.
CIHs are called upon to offer their expertise on a wide range of potential chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic stressors. Their ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control these hazards makes their services highly sought after by individuals, industry, institutions, government agencies, and the public.
The American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) provides an easy way for people to locate a CIH in their area. ABIH has developed a Public Roster search function that can be found at http://www.ABIH.org.
