New Hyundai Veloster – coming to a road near you

WEBWIRE

Hyundai have pushed all the boundaries and produced a three-door coupé with a lot to give the UK’s discerning drivers and enthusiastic petrol heads. The truth is that it’s not what you might expect from Hyundai - it’s more what you might expect from the next generation Chrysler Crossfire, for example.

This is one good-looking car, with hints of inspiration taken from the world of high-performance motorcycles. Take the black windscreen pillars, for example, set either side of the generous front window they look a lot like the visor of motorcycle helmet. Hyundai’s signature hexagonal front grille is the hero of the front view, thanks to the sweeping lines it controls, the large, cat eye shaped headlamps and the body-coloured wing mirrors and wheel arches.

As well as looking sporty, the new Veloster (as its name suggests) is all about speed and its aggressive looks (in a good way) will make you feel all-powerful, whatever driving situation you’re in.

But it’s not all about looks; the Hyundai Veloster performs too, handling corners and tricky conditions with ease and aplomb – it’s definitely worth a test drive, but be warned, once you’ve been behind the wheel, the likelihood is that you’ll want one all for yourself. The new Gamma GDi 1.6-litre engine, whilst providing excellent acceleration and speed, also manages to keep the MPG at a very respectable 40, while delivering 123lb per ft of torque and 138bhp.

To see what all the hype is about, contact your nearest Sturgess dealership and an expert will be happy to talk you through the spec list and arrange a test drive.
