Mobistar launches payment on mobile invoice for Windows Phone applications

Brussels – You no longer need to enter your credit card number to buy applications or games on Marketplace. In the coming weeks, Windows Phone users who are Mobistar customers will be able to pay for their content purchases via their mobile invoice. Mobistar will be the first Belgian operator to launch this simple and secure service, which makes downloading applications from Marketplace much easier, in the month of December.

Games, music, applications… Thanks to Marketplace, Windows Phone users have access to tens of thousands of rich, varied contents to download onto their smartphones. Some of them are free, for others there is a charge. The crunch often comes at the moment of payment: many users quit their purchase at the point of entering their credit card number.

That is why Mobistar is launching the option of paying for Windows Phone content on Marketplace via the mobile invoice. With this new service, purchasing content is simple, rapid and secure. When a Mobistar customer wants to buy an application on Marketplace, they simply confirm that they wish to pay for the content by deferment to their invoice and that’s all there is to it. It only takes one click, thus offering maximum user convenience. An e-mail detailing the applications downloaded is of course sent to the customer straight away.

Mobistar is the first operator in Belgium to launch this service, which has already been successfully launched by the Orange group in France and in England. At the same time, Mobistar also launches the “Mobistar selection”, a new category on Marketplace that offers Mobistar customers a choice of the best applications developed for Windows Phone.
