C800 printer series wins PCPro Laser Printer Award and PrintIT Editor’s Choice Award

TOKYO - OKI Data Corporation, an OKI Group company specializing in printer business, today announced that its state-of-the-art A3 C800 LED printer series has won both the PrintIT Editor’s Choice Award and PCPro Laser/LED Printer Award in the UK.

The C800 series of printers secured the coveted PrintIT award, thanks to their compact design, functionality and innovation. OKI went on to win the PCPro Laser/LED Printer Award and scored an impressive 97 per cent for print quality and an industry leading score of 91 per cent for reliability, pushing it above the competition.

The printer range brings fast and affordable, high quality printing to organizations of all sizes, enabling them to print both color and black and white documents from one printer. All the devices have new IC card reader capabilities for secure printing.

The sleek C822n device sets a new standard for A3 printing – it costs far less than its market counterparts and has much smaller dimensions, without the loss of print quality. In the PCPro review the printer scored an overall five out of six stars and its 91 per cent score for reliability helped to secure the top spot.

Commenting on OKI‘s success, Graham Lowes, marketing director, OKI Systems UK states: “Our C800 range addresses a key concern for many customers – how to print cost effectively without losing out on quality. We looked hard at the market requirements, together with customer feedback and developed these new models to be more compact, easier to use and to have low power consumption. They offer affordability for those on limited budgets, together with low total cost of ownership for the larger business.”

Lowes adds, “We are delighted to receive such important industry recognition. At OKI we never stop pushing the boundaries of technology as we understand it is vital businesses have access to affordable and flexible printing.”

With all new models OKI is driving down energy usage and reducing carbon emissions by building in ‘Deep Sleep’ mode, which reduces consumption to the barest minimum (often less than 1 watt) and ‘Auto Power Off’ technology, which automatically turns off devices after periods on non-use.
