WEBWIRE

StreamWIDE (FR0010528059 – ALSTW), the specialist in next generation value-added telephony solutions for telecom operators announced that its carrier-grade Visual Voicemail platform is now fully compliant with Windows Phone handsets, enabling mobile end-users to retrieve voice messages and call-back seamlessly from the application embedded with Windows Phone® call log manager. The solution is already live and operational at a Tier 1 European mobile service provider.
This achievement represents another step forward in the ambitious roadmap StreamWIDE has rolled-out in the VVM space over the last four years. After implementation of Apple IMAP interface for iPhone® in 2009, the software editor launched its own OMTP-based application for Android™ devices in 2010, proprietary app for iPad in 2011 and OMTP-based app for BlackBerry® in 2012. Worldwide customers’ expectations have been continuously met by constant OS and features updates for apps.

“While competition focuses on being interoperable with Apple devices and lets third-party application providers handle other mobile OS, StreamWIDE chose to invest on a larger array of devices, ensuring connectivity with manufacturers’ apps as well as developing in-house native OS-based clients. StreamWIDE is the only VAS provider to encompass server and client sides of VVM into a consistent and solid end-to-end offering” commented Régis Rain, Director, Marketing and Communications for StreamWIDE.

StreamWIDE’s near-future innovation in visual messaging applications include: caller-customized greetings, voicemail-to-text capabilities, Jellybean support to its Android app, implementing device manufacturers’ push notification systems as an alternative to SMS, lighter clients for low-end devices.
