Next-generation Technology Reduces Operations and Maintenance, Boosts Engineering Efficiency

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., July 11, 2006 – Building on its strong presence in the gas provider market, Intergraph Corporation (NASDAQ: INGR) today announced that Air Liquide has selected Intergraph’s SmartPlant Enterprise solution to run its global engineering operations.

Air Liquide is the world leader in producing industrial and medical gas and doing related services, supplying oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and other gases in over 70 countries.

SmartPlant Enterprise exploits engineering value across the enterprise by integrating with ERP and other non-engineering systems. The result is a new, technology-enabled business model - the engineering enterprise. It improves engineering procurement contractor (EPC) productivity initially, and later in the lifecycle reduces operations and maintenance costs by making change management engineering information readily available to operations and maintenance plant personnel.

Pilot implementations of SmartPlant Enterprise will be conducted in Air Liquide engineering centers in France and the United States. The overall deployment will then be extended to the company’s centers in China, Japan and India.

“Intergraph’s solutions have already shown their strength in streamlining processes and improving design efficiency at our engineering centers. We expect that Intergraph’s next generation of products, SmartPlant, will further improve on those efficiencies,” said Francisco Martins, Vice President, Air Liquide Worldwide Engineering. “Air Liquide has long been committed to technological innovation. By standardizing on Intergraph’s SmartPlant Enterprise engineering and management software across our operations worldwide, we can reduce total costs, while driving productivity and competitiveness.”

Gerhard Sallinger, president of Intergraph’s Process, Power and Marine division commented, “The adoption and success of Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise by Air Liquide and many other leading global organizations is a clear validation of the competitive advantage that our software solutions are providing to the market as it moves to the next level of productivity.”

The contract includes SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant Explorer, SmartPlant Foundation, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Review, SmartSketch, MARIAN Materials Management Solution and services related to implementation and integration with new products.
