Tim Fodor, President and CEO of The Fodor Group of Companies, announces the formation of a startup oil and gas exploration entity.  Black Gold’s focus is to locate new undiscovered reserves of oil and gas in the continental onshore U.S.

Mr. Fodor, a Certified Professional Exploration GeoScientist, certified by American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the American Institute of Petroleum Geologists, will actively participate in the daily exploration efforts to locate fossil fuels within the US through Michigan GeoSearch, an existing oil and gas exploration entity under The Fodor Group Umbrella.

Tim Fodor will be winding down his long standing international business affairs with emerging markets and third world countries to concentrate on this latest venture…  Tim Fodor through Michigan GeoSearch, Inc., and his other entities in The Fodor Group, has tapped into long standing relationships to assemble an Elite Team of Proven “Oil Finders".

The Elite Geologic Exploration Team has over 100 years of combined expertise in locating new reserves of hydrocarbons and bringing the fuel to market and will utilize state of the art geosciences and exploration techniques to select its prospects and wells. Information and data covering many sophisticated, technical and complicated geosciences disciplines ranging from geological, geophysical, geochemical, petroleum engineering and reservoir engineering are just some of the tools used to find the elusive black gold.

The Team has developed significant expertise in all facets of oil and gas exploration, basin and reservoir analysis, reservoir stimulation and enhancement, geosciences acquisition and interpretation, primary and secondary production, production facilities, treatment facilities, gas transmission and compression, cogeneration, full phase integration of all geoscience disciplines in order to bring new plays to the market.

With the United States’ conventional production in decline, capital left these shores more than 30 years ago to focus on giant oil and gas fields abroad, in the deep sea and in the Arctic. The smaller independents find over 65% of all oil fields, not the major oil companies. The majors left behind thousands of smaller oil fields which are now becoming valuable as fossil fuel shortages loom and the price of crude oil and natural gas continue to rise. There will be an 8-10 year window of opportunity to create great wealth and it must be taken to its full advantage.

When asked about the new entity, Mr. Fodor commented: “The opportunity to develop the resources the United States holds is one we cannot pass up. The success of the domestic energy industry will yield continued job creation, reduced dependence on foreign oil, and improved balance of trade. There are no known alternative energy sources that can compete with oil and natural gas due to the energy output of a hydrocarbon and the laws of thermodynamics with respect to fuel cells and hydrogen. Oil and natural gas will be the fuel of choice for the next fifty years even though every known alternative energy method will be needed.”
