Gale wins ISG Reference Award from CILIP for the second year
For the second year running, Gale, part of Cengage Learning, is the recipient of the Besterman/McColvin Award in the ‘Outstanding works of electronic resources and e-books’ category at the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals’ (CILIP) ISG Reference Awards (www.cilip.org.uk/isg).
The Sunday Times Digital Archive, 1822-2006 has won the Besterman/McColvin Award in the ‘Outstanding works of electronic resources and e-books’ category and the National Geographic Magazine Archive, 1888-1994 was voted Highly Commended in the same category. The awards were judged by a panel of librarians from across academic and public libraries in the UK who selected Gale from the eligible 2011 entries. The award ceremony, which took place at City Business Library in London on October 18th 2012, celebrates best practice in the information and reference sector and sets industry standards.
