Tehran, Iran

Anil Baspar Ariya Company, at the Polymer Technology Growth Center, presented a facade stone made of cement, stone powder, polymeric materials, and silica nanoparticles. By obtaining ultra-lubricants diluents, researchers of the company used silica nanoparticles in the polymeric phase in order to increase the strength of the stone three or four times comparing to natural facade stones. In addition, they halved the weight of the facade stones compared to natural stones by reducing the amount of heavy particles and replacing them with light ones.

A number of pigments were used in the structure of the stones, which preserves the natural color of the stones. This characteristic helps the easy application of the facades in places like the margin of the internal walls. In fact, any part of the stone in any color conserves its color after being cut.

Among the advantages of the nano-based facade stones mention can be made of their light weight and cost-effectiveness. Strengthening, increasing the safety against earthquake, and the prevention of pollution are among other properties of the product.

Iran Nano 2012 was held in Tehran International Permanent Fairground from October 4 to 8, 2012. The 12th Tehran International Industry Exhibition and the First Iran Nano Forum 2012 were also held concurrently with Iran Nano Festival.
