International Habitat Day, which occurs in early October, is when David Reid Homes Perth makes dreams come true for the less fortunate in 3rd world countries.

Kim March, Managing Director of David Reid Homes Perth shares, “We donate 1000 bricks towards homes being built in India every time we receive a payment from a client, not just when a new house is purchased. This means that with every single payment each of our valued clients makes towards their own luxury home, they are helping to build houses for less fortunate families in India.”

Habitat for Humanity is a humanitarian organisation that works in partnership with local grassroots non-government organisations, microfinance institutions and other partners throughout India to create decent housing for those who are unable to afford it. Regular payments go to a Fund for Humanity, which helps Habitat for Humanity build more homes. The charitable organisation uses a “save & build” microfinance concept where families in the third world countries form groups – often led by women – to save one third of the cost of each home whilst Habitat for Humanity, non-government organisations or corporate partners invest the other two-thirds.
