Ford is gearing up for a revolutionary 2013 with the debut of its new Fiesta and Mondeo models. The new versions of the popular Ford cars have been revamped to give drivers all the comfort and style they’ve come to expect from Ford, whilst supplying innovative fuel-saving and environmentally-friendly systems that will take their Ford vehicle well into the future.

With the new Ford Fiesta, Ford promises owners the same exciting features that they’ve become accustomed to, but with some intelligent updates. Under the curvaceous new “power-dome bonnet” is a 1.0-litre Ecoboost petrol engine that comes in 99bhp and 118bhp options, with a new 84bhp version also likely to be added. Meanwhile, the sleek and smooth exterior (which hasn’t been dramatically altered and still retains the attractive look of the current Fiesta model) welcomes LED running light equipped headlights and a bolder grille, both of which contribute towards the new Fiesta’s imposing first impression. Also featured under the bonnet is the innovative Active City Stop, a new low-speed crash avoidance system that drivers are sure to appreciate.

The comfortable cabin of the current model remains, with added technology that’s designed to make driving even easier. Owners of the 2013 Fiesta will enjoy a dashboard that includes Ford SYNC connectivity, allowing Bluetooth and USB devices to interact with the entertainment system. What’s more, the innovative MyKey system allows drivers to configure their Fiesta to match their preferences in speed, audio volume, driver aids and ESP – ideal for families with multiple drivers of the same car. Meanwhile, the futuristic safety system allows the audio system to function only once all seatbelts have been fastened, ensuring everyone’s buckled in.

Drivers are also guaranteed to love the new Mondeo which – despite its tiny 1.0-litre engine – still manages a confident 123bhp and carbon emissions levels of just 125g/km. In fact, when it comes to economy and efficiency, the new Ford Mondeo is the best option as it’s the world’s first modern-era family vehicle with a 1.0-litre engine.

In profile, the new Mondeo boasts sleek lines merged with contemporary curves. Energy-saving power steering makes any journey confidently controlled, whilst the dashboard houses a comprehensive infotainment panel that includes Ford SYNC and MyTouch systems. In the back of the car, there’s more than enough room to keep both passengers and luggage perfectly accommodated.

The new Ford Mondeo is set to be released in the autumn of 2013, with prices yet to be announced. Meanwhile, the new Ford Fiesta will debut at the Paris Motor Show at the end of September, with sales starting from January 2013. Prices are expected to start from around £10,000 for the basic model up to £17,000 for the impressively sporty ST model.
