Amerisure Celebrates its 100th Anniversary

Farmington Hills, Mich., September 12, 2012—Today, Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company, one of the nation’s leading property and casualty insurance companies, marks its 100th anniversary of being in business, which began when the Company was successfully founded in 1912 to protect America’s workers on the job.

The Company’s roots began in Detroit with the formation of Michigan Workmen’s Compensation Mutual Insurance Company. The organization was founded by a partnership between the Michigan Manufacturers Association and prominent local manufacturers who sought to address Michigan’s new Workmen’s Compensation Law. From those humble beginnings grew the vibrant, national company that today thrives as Amerisure Insurance Company. The organization has more than 670 employees and 11 Core Service Centers (CSCs) located throughout the United States.

Additionally, the Company’s CSCs are engaging in various community outreach activities that will have a positive impact where Amerisure employees live and work.
