Last month’s Ponderosa Fire, near Redding, California, burned over 27,000 acres and was started on Sunday, August 19th by a lightning strike.  The Ponderosa Fire destroyed 52 residences and 81 outbuildings but is now 100% contained thanks to the combined efforts of Cal Fire.  SAMS & Associates had a unit on scene, ready to assist if needed.  SAMS has assembled a team of catastrophe adjusters that specialize in fire and smoke losses.  This specialty team is ready to deploy on a moment’s notice.
 
In Washington it was reported that the Taylor Bridge Wildfire burning near Cle Elum, Washington has claimed at least 51 homes and cabins as well as 26 outbuildings have been destroyed and six homes damaged.  The fire is believed to be started by nearby construction work.
