Atlanta Woman Says “No” To Tummy Tuck Surgery After Finding Better Option

With so many choices available today to improve a woman’s body through liposuction or tummy tuck surgery, after much research this Atlanta woman chose liposuction.

Atlanta, GA – By the time Mrs. M. Davis of Atlanta, Georgia, made an appointment to see cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Michael Carter of Atlanta Liposuction, she had consultations with several plastic surgeons to discuss tummy tuck surgery.

After her consultation with Dr. Carter, Mrs. Davis said ‘no” to tummy tuck surgery and opted for non-invasive liposuction.  She had several problems areas one of which was a “sack” of a stomach left from three cesarean surgeries plus other areas where fat would not budge from diet and exercise.

There are several reasons why she said no to tummy tuck surgery; the first was the cost and invasiveness of surgical procedures; then long recovery but most importantly, she’d need a second procedure after she healed from tummy tuck. That second procedure would be liposuction of bra roll area, sides and flanks.

Like most of us today, Mrs. Davis has a busy life with three children and a business to manage. “Length of downtime was important as was a speedy recovery and one procedure, not two,” says Mrs. Davis.  “Equally important was cost and liposuction was considerably less expensive.”

Mrs. Davis received two plastic surgery quotes for tummy tuck surgery. One was $7,500 and the second $10,000.  After she healed from tummy tuck surgery, she would return for liposuction of 3 areas at $3,000 per area for an additional cost of $9,000. Her two estimates totaled $16,500 and $19,000 respectively.

“Dr. Michael Carter not only had very competitive fees, the before and after photos on his website were so impressive, I would have happily paid more,” says Mrs. Davis.

It’s been several weeks since Mrs. Davis’ liposuction body contouring procedure also known as liposculpture.  She was back to work in 3 days, lost 14 pounds and 9 inches around her waist.

Mrs. Davis says she hopes by sharing her experience of how she educated herself about choices and getting many consultations, she can help other women learn that invasive surgery such as tummy tuck might be avoided for them, too.
