YesVideo Introduces YesDVD Generator Minilab System for In-Store DVD Transfers

As the world’s first in-store retail system for DVD transfer services, the YesDVD Generator provides retailers and camera stores with an easy and affordable solution for preserving customers’ videotapes, digital photos, and digital video to a Hollywood-style DVD.

With an average of more than 11 videotapes per U.S. household, and with consumer digital camera unit sales in the U.S. forecasted to reach 22.8 million in 2004, today’s consumers are looking for an easy, reliable, and affordable way to preserve their video and photographic memories on DVD. For retailers, the YesDVD Generator makes in-store digital transfers to DVD as easy as processing a roll of film at the photo counter.

The YesDVD Generator minilab system is based on YesVideo’s extensive software development experience and expertise honed with its YesDVD outlab service, which is distributed by Kodak and Fuji through a variety of retailers, including Walgreens, Target and Wal-Mart. Because the YesDVD Generator minilab system enables digital transfers to take place within the individual retail location, retailers can offer customers same-day service at a fraction of the cost of services offered by digital transfer specialists.

Availability

The YesDVD Generator minilab system will be rolled out in key national retailers and camera stores beginning in Q4 2004.
