Cambridge, MA – The Consensus Building Institute (CBI), in partnership with Corporate University Xchange (CorpU), is pleased to present the groundbreaking virtual training course, The Art of Negotiation: A Mutual Gains Approach. The course is the first of three in a program designed to improve negotiation skills and maximize the potential for consistently desirable outcomes.
The Art of Negotiation focuses on developing personal negotiation skills, mastering the Mutual Gains Approach to negotiation, instigating organizational change, and sustaining the gains developed during training. Individually tailored for an organization, the unique curriculum is based on research from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and the best-selling Built to Win: Creating a World-class Negotiating Organization (www.cbuilding.org/publication/book/built-to-win), and addresses the gaps in traditional corporate training. Lectures and content from CBI negotiation experts are interspersed with discussion exercises, role-play, personal reflection, and application to current and immediate work objectives.
The Art of Negotiation Program academic directors include Built to Win authors, Dr. Lawrence Susskind, CBI Founder and Chief Knowledge Officer, and Ford Professor of Urban and Environmental Planning at MIT, and Dr. Hal Movius, Principal and Director of CBI’s Training and Consulting Services and Commercial Agreements Practice Leader.
Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, CBI is a not-for-profit organization founded by leading practitioners and theory builders in the fields of negotiation and dispute resolution. CBI’s experts promote effective stakeholder engagement, negotiation, collaboration, and decision-making across the globe, on a wide range of complex public and private issues and conflicts.
