The Corner Office Restaurant + Martini Bar Scores New Executive Chef

Rich Byers to helm global street food establishment

WEBWIRE

Denver, Colo. The Corner Office Restaurant + Martini Bar announced today that Rich Byers is the new executive chef. In this role, Byers is responsible for creating The Corner Office’s innovative and fresh global street food, inspired by international flavors and culinary styles. Byers was elevated to the executive chef position from sous chef, so his experience crafting the vast array of dinner, lunch, brunch and breakfast entrees and appetizers is an added advantage to the restaurant’s diners.

A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Byers has worked at a number of renowned Colorado eateries including the St. Julien in Boulder, Olives at the St. Regis in Aspen and Oskar Blues in Lyons. His knowledge of the variety of ingredients, methods and flavors that go into creating a menu of globally derived fare was one of the main advantages to having him in the executive chef position at The Corner Office.

“One of our distinguishing points at The Corner Office is that we have an extensive menu that calls for expertise in cooking everything from Asian to Italian to French,” said Jerome Fosset, general manager for The Corner Office. “Rich’s skill set is well-tailored to what we offer and what’s more, his enthusiasm and passion for creativity and design are evident. I am confident that Rich will not just continue the quality and variety we offer, but he will enhance our menu even more.”

“I couldn’t be happier about this new opportunity,” said Byers. “The Corner Office has long been admired for pioneering the global street food category and I’m thrilled that this style of cooking is gaining traction with diners. Also, our Theater Dining Series is a dream come true for any chef who wants to be creative with menus.”

Byers’ position marks the second major hire for The Corner Office, the first being the appointment of Jerome Fosset to the general manager position in April. Together Fosset and Byers oversee daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour and Sunday Disco brunch. In addition, Byers will be responsible each month for creating a new three-course menu inspired by a current show at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. The three-course Theater Dining Series menus are always $52.80 for two. Byers will also develop unique menus for the restaurant’s popular events, such as its Thanksgiving, New Year’s and Kentucky Derby parties.
