The 2012 Citi Open is one of the top events on the ATP World Tour and a Member of the Olympus US Open Series. The tournament consistently ranks as one of Washington D.C.’s top sporting events. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with the inclusion of the WTA and new sponsors.

Mardy Fish, the top-ranked American tennis player, is headlining. Other big name players include Alexandr Dolgopolov, Sam Querrey, Tommy Haas and Jeremy Chardy.  The Citi Open is a great opportunity to watch some of tennis’ future champions in a more intimate tennis venue—the William H.G. Fitzgerald Tennis Center. On average 76,000 fans attend each year and $1.4 million in prize money is distributed.

“The Legg Mason Tennis Classic has been a favorite Baltimore-Washington event for nearly two decades.  With the 2012 sponsorship changes, we saw a tremendous opportunity to jump in and show our support for this event and tennis in general,” said David Hirshfeld, co-owner of Holabird Sports. “We’re a company of tennis fans. We have a deep desire to see tennis grow as a sport and to make sure fans have the best experience possible"

In addition to racquets, tennis shoes and other prizes, Holabird Sports will be handing out Gift Cards ranging from $10 to $100.

The Citi Open runs from July 28 to August 5, 2012 in the William H.G. FitzGerald tennis Center, a 7500 seat facility in Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C.
