Historically, few countries have cherished clogs as much as Sweden – which is where Sandgrens Clogs was originally founded as a leather tannery in the mid 1800s and later grew to be the largest clog maker in theworld, producing one million pairs per year.  Sandgrens flourished throughout the 20th century and especially during the 70’s when clogs were thee “it” fashion accessory.

Current Clog Master Christer Carlsson learned the clog making art as a young boy from the knee of his father Sven in the Sandgrensfactory. Now, together with Christer all of us at Sandgrens are going back to our roots and restoring our brand to its former greatness. We may no longer be the biggest, but our clog master and staff continue to use the very same time-honored techniques of transforming the finest leather and wood into the best and highest quality clogs available.
