1st ever Bridal Show Webcast is a Success!

The marriage of Technology and Bridal has just taken place as the first ever Bridal Show Webcast was successfully broadcasted Sunday, February 27th, from the Chesapeake Conference Center.

Khrys Vaughn, eShowers founder, and Emer Lunasin, Pre-Party Planners co-founder, had a chance encounter over the Internet several months ago. Shortly thereafter, Khrys met with Emer’s partner, Zac, and the rest is history. “We had a rather interesting conversation as eShowers is often viewed as a maverick in the marketplace. Speaking with Emer and Zac was refreshing as both knew there had to be a better way to engage Brides other than simply having a website. When they shared info regarding a potential project with an foreign Bridal vendor, we both knew the only way it could possibly happen was if eShowers became involved and bridged the distance,” states Vaughn. “On top of this, their next Bridal Show was approaching fast so they gave our ideas some thought and decided to take a chance. We are happy to report that with only a little over two weeks to promote the event, the end result and final count - 419 viewers from 17 countries.”

Viewers were treated to a live feed, periodic interviews with participating vendors and Brides, and an uninterrupted broadcast of the Bridal fashion show. “We responded to emails in real-time during the broadcast, gave away prizes to both audiences, and had quite a few humorous moments. Overall, we had a great time and just enjoyed being part of the event”. The feeling appears to be mutual as Emer states, “Khrys is doing a really great thing. She’s kind and what she brings to the event is second to none. I don’t understand everything, but Zac and I are quite pleased to know that Brides from all over the world tuned in just to see what we were doing in Chesapeake, VA. The Internet is a good thing.”

What’s next on the agenda? Pre-Party Planners has several events scheduled throughout the year and will continue to host the monthly Gathering of Professionals networking event each month. eShowers will conduct a Bridal TeleWorkshop March 5th in conjunction with HDP Weddings & Events (Michigan), and provided all goes as scheduled, will begin filming a weekly Bridal show for Internet Television by Spring.
