As YouTube and Facebook grow its visitors and “fame”, it’s evident that they are the most dominant websites on the internet. However a new website down the block has been released just to do the same thing. Well not really.

The website known as hourfame.com, has been launched to allow people to submit videos and have a chance to be on the home page for at least twenty four hours. The website was launched by a group of students testing out a project that they have invested time and dedication into it.

A YouTube uploader’s dream is to have their video viral and known across the web. Now there is a revolutionary way to do this. The videos can range from anything. They do not  seem to have strict guidelines apart from the basic copyright protected videos. It works by first submitting a video then the video is picked randomly and placed on the homepage for twenty four hours.

The website is fairly simply laid out with few basic features. In the blog it has been mentioned that the website was in a beta stage before but now it has been officially released with continuous updates.
