National Junior Tennis Tournament Offers Prizes & Prestige

The Holabird Sports and adidas All-in Junior Tennis Tournament is destined to produce a star. This tournament is designed to be an open event with no age groups.  In order to keep the event as competitive as possible, the draws will be set by a selection committee based on USTA and ITF rankings, as well as head-to-head records.

Although the players won’t earn ranking points, they’ll have the opportunity to experience a competition in a different format while vying for ultimate bragging rights and fabulous prizes. The winner of both the Boys’ and Girls’ Singles Event will receive a one-year adidas sponsorship: four pairs of adizero or Barricade shoes, one adidas warm-up, four adidas shorts/skirts, four adidas crews/tanks, four adidas tennis t-shirts, and four adidas hats. The finalists will receive: one pair adizero or barricade shoes and one adidas tennis outfit. Holabird Sports is designing and contributing one-of-a-kind tournament t-shirts to every player.

 “We wanted to host a junior tournament that incorporates facets of competition that juniors don’t regularly see,” says Sol Schwartz, Retail Manager of Holabird Sports. “If you look at everything about this tournament, it’s totally different from any other junior event out there—from the selection process, to the rules: we’re allowing coaching on changeovers; we’re playing service lets out instead of replaying the point; we’re eliminating the third set tiebreak and having players play out the third set. Our goal is to give players a chance to experience a competitive atmosphere that’s more like what they will see at the next level, whether it’s in college or the pros.”

The Holabird Sports-adidas “All-in” Junior Tennis Challenge will consist of two single elimination 32 draws. Matches will be played in a best-of-three format with no tiebreak in the third set.
