Adaco Brings New Mobility to Requisitioning and Procurement

BALTIMORE — What the hospitality industry lacks is convenient inventory tracking, whether it is a half-consumed bottle of wine or rotating the freshest produce through your walk-in refrigeration unit. With the introduction of Adaco’s portable procurement and inventory solution based on the durable Motorola ET1 enterprise tablet, the solution solution has arrived. The new application combo was announced yesterday at HITEC 2012, the world’s largest hospitality technology show, which opened yesterday.
 
The software is available immediately from Adaco, the industry leader in hospitality procurement, management and optimization. Though the software will run on any Android version, Adaco has officially launched its expansion in the tablet market with the ET1 because of its durability and functionality. It is not the first handheld application for Adaco; an iOS app focused on menu management was introduced at last year’s HITEC show.
 
Running an enterprise-ready hardened version of the Android operating system, the ET1 tablet is designed to be used 24x7 by multiple staff members. Users can access the inventory, purchasing and requisitioning functions of the Adaco .NET platform.
 
Since the ET1 is not tethered to the Internet, staff can cover large areas such as college campuses, resorts or golf courses. Storeroom and cold items can be scanned in real-time and synchronized with the master inventory later.
