Weston, Fla. – Corporate giant, World Wide Association of Specialty Programs (WWASP), lost their appeal in the Tenth Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals.
In a published court document, dated June 13, 2006, the court ruled that “The record does not include evidence that Ms. Scheff and Mr. Berryman shared the conviction that parents should not send their troubled teens to World Wide schools, but no jury could reasonably infer from this alone that Mr. Berryman and Ms. Scheff conspired to do an unlawful act.” Furthermore, the court document stated that: “World wide failed to prove the element of falsity and injury under the lower standard of proof required for the false advertising claim.”

Sue Scheff, President of Parent Universal Resource Experts (P.U.R.E) said, “We are very pleased with the results of this appeal and we look forward to continuing to offer parents our support and professional and educational referral resources and services.”

Parent’s Universal Resources was founded in 2001 by a group of parent advocates to help families in crisis with defiant or struggling teens. P.U.R.E understands that desperate parents are at high risk of making wrong decisions that may be detrimental to them and their child.

“We believe in bringing families back together.”
