Games For Your Mind Releases New Puzzler
Kelowna B.C., Canada -†Games For Your Mind has released another Android puzzler, Swap. The game continues the brain game trend with a mind bending array of multicolored blocks to manage. Getting four of the same colored blocks in a row is the goal but moving the blocks isnít so simple. Each block has a colored dot in the center and the color of the dot is the color of block that that block can be swapped with. Blocks with blue centers can be swapped with blue blocks and blocks with red centers can be swapped with red blocks. The multicolored blocks are difficult to wrap your mind around and although the game is less intense than previous releases from Games For Your Mind, it still provides enough challenge to stay interesting.
Games For Your Mind has released other challenging brain games such as Fuzz Ball, Squared and Battle Grid. The games all include challenging aspects that set them apart from more casual games as they are geared towards those looking for a mental challenge. "The games from Games For Your Mind started out a lot more difficult and less enjoyable than what has been put out recently. Finding that balance is an important part of keeping people coming back and looking forward to new releases. Stretching your mind doesnít need to be a grueling task. Swap is good example of that middle ground,Ē said Daniel Petersen from Games For Your Mind. Finding that middle ground may be the crucial step in solidifying the longevity of Games for Your Mind in the difficult Android Marketplace.
The developerís aim of making brain games more entertaining can also be seen in the previous release, Fuzz Ball. The game is a simple memory game that has an animated Fuzz ball rolling and bouncing to the actions of the user. The game clearly focuses more on entertainment value but maintains its core brain game value. Whether or not Games For Your Mind has found the right balance to keep players playing has yet to be seen.
