Toronto, Canada, June 4, 2012 – Personal Support Worker Canada, the internet’s first website dedicated to personal support worker industry, has added a full featured mobile website . The new mobile exclusive website was created to enhance user navigation, and includes social media integration, updated job postings, sample resumes, and course listings. Moreover, the mobile website pages include articles, cover letters, certificate data, employment data, registry, resume, student loan info, blog, wage related, and other pages that are relevant.

The mobile website provides visitors from across Canada comprehensive information for easy access. The website also included direct links to social media sites like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google search, e-mail, and RSS feed. The course listing directs to different schools and institutions inside and outside Ontario that are now filtered to narrow visitors’ search.

Matthias Koster, a Brock University Business Graduate and Sandra Koster, a practicing personal support worker, co-founded Personal Support Worker Canada in 2006. It remains the internet’s only independent website, free of corporate or union affiliations, devoted to PSW’s throughout Canada. Matthias contributes business related articles and acts as the sites webmaster. Sandra, who has been in the profession since 2006, is currently a practicing personal support worker in the province of Ontario and provides real world scenarios and tips from the trenches.

The importance of its service has been proved to benefit its students, employees and other clients greatly. Ontario Health Minister Deb Matthews said the following regarding personal support workers, “We really rely on them. So much that if we didn’t have them everything would come to a standstill. They are an absolutely essential part of our health system.” The demand of its service is increasing tremendously. On May 15th, 2012 the Ontario government  added an additional three million hours of PSW care to their ‘Action Plan for Health Care’ budget.

PersonalSupportWorker.ca assists prospective and current PSW’s with career advancement. Their mission statement is to provide factual, unbiased, and non-political information and resources to current and prospective personal support workers (and those in similar vocations) throughout Canada.
