Training software house accessplanit has continued its 2012 recruitment and new business drive by employing Rick Hoare into the development team and bringing on new clients including the electronic retailer Comet.

As a recent graduate of the accessplanit graduate developer scheme, Rick will strengthen the development side of the training management system business, and support the objective to continually innovate and update software for clients and prospects.

Rick recently graduated from the University of Central Lancashire. Moving forward, learning management system provider accessplanit has plans to further strengthen the development team by recruiting another graduate developer as well as a project manager.

Comet, the electrical retail giant, will create and deliver eLearning programmes to employees via the accessplanit software, Composica.

With nearly 250 stores across the UK, the retailer will be creating high quality and engaging learning packages for its employees. Dave Evans, commercial director at accessplanit, explained: “This is a great name for the business to be associated with. Comet has a huge workforce both in central offices and in its 243 stores scattered across the UK and we are proud to be involved in its delivery of eLearning content.”

Comet was not the only recent addition, as other new business wins in May included the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, which provides high quality HSE approved first aid training services to their local community either within their excellent training facilities or at their clients’ premises.

The team required support with day-to-day training administration requirements and also an online booking operation that allows delegates to search and book courses online.

Following a significant and thorough search for a training management software provider that could administrate training and development for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, accessplanit’s Course Manager product was selected and implemented.

In 2011 the training team trained more than 4,000 people from PCTs, councils and Yorkshire-based businesses on a variety of training courses. Despite a successful year in 2011, back office inefficiencies around booking and not having a training-bespoke customer relationship manager (CRM) system were both key challenges that needed addressing.

The modular nature of accessplanit’s training management software, which means it can implemented in manageable stages, was particularly appealing to the NHS Trust. Manager is now live with the trust, and online booking will be added in due course.”

Finally, accessplanit has launched its new corporate website. The training software specialist’s new site remains at www.accessplanit.com and will have the same keen focus on providing insightful content in the shape of news, blogs and whitepapers for the learning and development industry.

Visitors to the site will be able to read more about the growing team at accessplanit, as well as get access to concise and informative pages on the specific products and services that the training management system provider has developed and introduced to the market.

The site has been designed with easy navigation in mind, so visitors will be able to effortlessly move between relevant pages to gather the information they need.
“I can speak on behalf of the entire accessplanit team when I say that we’re excited by the website launch. Today, websites are absolutely critical to the business and it feels good to have this change now – just a few months after the office move,” commercial director, Dave Evans said.
