TietoEnator and Sampo Bank broaden co-operation in digital self-service solutions

WEBWIRE

22 June 2006, TietoEnator and Sampo Bank are expanding their co-operation in the area of electronic invoicing. The increasing use of digital self-services, for example in consumer electronic invoicing, calls for efficient and reliable core solutions.

TietoEnator and Sampo Pankki are broadening their collaboration in electronic invoicing to include consumer invoicing and inter-bank transactions. This co-operation supplements the electronic business-to-business invoicing services.

In consumer invoicing, the bank directs the invoices direct to the recipient’s internet bank, where they can be checked and paid without any intermediary stages. Consumers can confirm in their internet bank if they wish to receive invoices online. Electronic invoices make invoice management easier for consumers and they also reduce mistakes and the amount of information that needs to be written.

In broadening their co-operation, the parties intend to enhance their digital self-service solutions to ensure that these are cost-effective and function to the full satisfaction of their customers.
