Sir Tim Berners Lee to speak at Gulltaggen 2012 digital marketing conference Oslo

Sir Tim Berners Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web, is to speak at the upcoming Gulltaggen 2012 digital marketing conference in Oslo, Norway.

Gulltaggen 2012 spans over three full days starting 24th April, and promises to be the best Gulltaggen event yet. The first day of the event consists of workshops and seminars, as well as the Gulltaggen Network after dark. The second day, 25th April, is conference and exhibitions day, and on the last day, 26th April, there will be conference by day, and award show and gala dinner with entertainment by night.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee is the inventor of the World Wide Web. Now with the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he directs the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The W3C is the main international standards organisation for the World Wide Web, which develops interoperable technologies (specifications, guidelines, software and tools) to lead the Web to its full potential.

During 2009, Sir Tim advised on the UK Government’s “Making Public Data Public” initiative, and in 2010 his latest venture is data.gov.uk, which offers the public better access to official data.
 
Gulltaggen is Norway’s most important event for digital marketing, communication, innovation, leadership and creativity, and is by far the best arena for sharing competence, knowledge and networking.
