The Warren County Farmers’ Fair is Celebrating 75 Years

Old-Fashioned Fun at Old-Fashioned Prices

WEBWIRE

Warren County, NJ – For those who have never attended the Warren County Farmers’ Fair you will be delighted to find old-fashioned fun at old-fashioned prices. The event, which also includes the Hot Air Balloon Festival, presented by JCP&L, is held in scenic Warren County, New Jersey and is easily accessible from Routes 80, 78 and 22. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 5-12; ages 4 and under are free. Parking is also free of charge.

For years – 75 to be exact – the Fair has not followed inflation trends. The director’s idea of inflation is the Mass Hot Air Balloon Inflation each evening of the Fair – which is included in the low admission price.

Over its 75-year history the Warren County Farmers’ Fair has remained an agricultural fair. In more recent years the Fair introduced more attractions like the balloon festival, traditional arts expo and Kids’ Corral.  Main Arena attractions also include two demolition derbies, an ATV and Truck Mud Bog, along with Truck and Tractor Pulls. With too much to fit into one week, the Fair is expanding by one more day. Opening day will kick off on Saturday, July 28 and the Fair will run through Saturday, August 4, 2012.

Value-Added Events for Your Admission To The Fair

The Kids Corral is a hot spot for little ones, where all activities are free of charge for fairgoers. Children can enjoy craft making, clown shows, contests and more – all on us! This year the Kids’ Corral will be greatly expanded and offer even more activities.

Free Main Arena events on Sunday include the Hay Bale Rolling competition, which was featured on The Today Show, and the Lawnmower Races. Ticketed Main Arena events range from a modest $5 to $11. Advance tickets for these events will go on sale May 1, 2012.

If you frequent the Fair, stop by the Fair office between Tuesday, May 1 and Friday, July 27 to purchase a season pass for $30. Keeping in mind that folks are being hit hard by inflation, the Fair has kept the price of season passes the same as in 2011, while adding the extra day.

Vendor space rates will remain the same for 2012. Be sure to reserve your spot today as space is limited and many will want to take advantage of the extra day. Contact Mary Beth Castimore via email at wcfarmersfair@embarqmail.com for more information.

Reserve your spot in the popular Program Book or as an event or Balloon Festival Sponsor, and you guessed it, all at 2011 prices, with the added benefit of an extra day. For more information on sponsorship or for advertising in the Program Book contact Giulia Iannitelli at info@warrencountyfarmersfair.org.

The Warren County Farmers’ Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival is supported in part by a grant from New Jersey Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism, www.visitnj.org.

The Fair Directors look forward to providing you with another year of old fashioned fun at old fashioned prices.
