Comfort Keepers White Rock Home Senior Care Hosts “SWANS” at Semiahmoo Library, March 3rd.

Comfort Keepers White Rock, offering senior home care, has today announced it will be hosting the “SWANS” Session - the first in a series of short information and resource events on March 3rd, 2012. 

According to Director of Operations, Janet JD, information and resources to be presented at these events are particularly pertinent to what she refers to as “Boomer Females” - persons wanting to ensure that their own affairs (or that of an aging parent’s) will be properly looked after, with the least amount of stress to family.  Further, much of the information provided is very relevant to the next generation’s well-being planning.

“The SWANS information will be delivered in a sensitive, yet light-hearted fashion to motivate and empower participants into an effective action plan to stimulate the conversations that every family needs to have,” noted Janet.

“The information and resources we’ll be providing will assist these ‘Boomer Females’ with invoking a plan that will help minimize family stress in the event of health decline for any family member,” she added.

According to Janet, too many people wait for a crisis to happen thus leaving the family to scramble to manage their affairs – often a very stressful situation on all concerned. “Planning ahead can be like walking through a labyrinth unless you have a map and a guide. Think of SWANS as a compass,” said Janet.

However, she feels attendees will take away information and resources to create an action plan that will give peace of mind to their entire family. 

Scheduled for March 3, 2012, the two-hour SWANS Session will be delivered by a panel of five female experts. Starting at 2:30 pm (sharp) and ending at 4:30 pm, the event will be held at the Meeting Room at the Semiahmoo Library, 152nd Street at 18th Avenue in South Surrey BC, Canada.
